Workout Saturday 6-30-2012

Went to the park for my saturday workout at 8am. It was a beautiful 90 degrees sunny day out. For strength it was a simple workout as usual on sat, because my main goal on saturdays is the running aspect of it.

pullup pyramids

rest 2 minutes then

pushups
5 sets of 5 reps with 30 seconds rest in between

once that was done I headed over to the hand ball courts with my friend. He didn’t know how to play and after a quick once over of the rules, we started. It was a great workout. Handball really works the lungs since you have to run back and forth to get to the ball.

A few times we had to pause so that he could catch his breath. I then explained to him, that this is why I believe more in faster running than slow jogging. I mean, what’s the point of being able to slowly jog 3 miles, if you can’t play a game of handball.
