Exercises That Celebrities Do

I was looking around the internet today, when I came across this article called The 5 Workouts that celebrities swear by. The first one is apparently Reese Witherspoon’s go to move. The article calls it Reese Witherspoon’s super lunge.

If you read the description, and if anybody is familiar with Capoeira, it sure sounds a lot like the front kick done from the ginga. As a matter of fact, I just got up and tried it and it’s just like it. So if you want to do an even better variation of this then add the ginga to it.

How to do it

Start off by doing the ginga. Here’s a good view of the ginga on wikipedia. Next, when you reach the end of one side movement, you will be in a position similar to a lunge. Instead of continuing to ginga, bring the rear leg up and forward to perform a push kick.

Once the push kick is done, bring that same kicking leg back to the rear and continue to ginga. Keep adding in a front push kick whenever you want to. It might take some time to get the rhythm down so that the transitions go smoothly, but keep at it. It’s worth it.

You’d be amazed how doing this exercise can get your heart rate up in a short period of time. Try doing this for 1 minute straight and see what you think.
