I don’t know about you, but I don’t like working out for a long time. I get bored or my recovery takes a hit. That happened to me this week.
After following Les Mills Combat for two weeks, I ended up feeling really fatigued. I didn’t have the energy to really do much.
I ended up having to get a lot of rest before my energy levels came back. I used to do the body combat Nestle promo once in a while just for a change of pace. Initially, that was why I bought Combat to begin with.
I should’ve just stuck with my original plans. Now, I’m going to. The workouts aren’t that difficult for me and I do like them. Unfortunately, my body could only keep up with that demand for 1 week, before I started feeling it.
So what am I going to do now? I will revert back to my usual quick workouts. My body doesn’t seem to have a problem recovering from quick, short workouts done more frequently.
And by doing quick workouts, I can actually get more variety in as well. My goal now is to see how little I can actually workout without making anything too complicated. This is just an experiment, to see what happens.
If you’re tired of “jogging” or using the elliptical for 1 long boring hour and not seeing the results you should, then you might want to try cutting back on your exercise, not increasing it.
My WOD will show the changes starting on Monday.
What’s the bare minimum amount of work you do?
