Wednesday’s workout of the day will consist of shovel glove and shadow boxing. The shadow boxing can consist of punches, kicks, knees or any martial art moves you like.
WOD Tuesday 7-31-2012
Tuesday’s workout of the day will focus on muscular endurance. When doing the push-ups and pull-ups, do the total amount of reps in one set. Don’t go to failure. If you feel that you might not make the next rep, pause at the top position for a few seconds and then keep going.
WOD Monday 7-30-2012
Monday’s workout of the day is to either swim 30 minutes, bike for 30 min-1 hour, run 1 mile or simply to rest.
When you have a free minute during the day also perform 15 squat thrusts.

Should you do warm up sets on Bodyweight exercises?
You know something occurred to me yesterday. I never do warm up sets for my body weight exercises. I just go right into them. That might actually be a mistake. A mistake I plan to remedy right away.

Workout Tuesday 7-24-2012
Continuing on this week, I did the same quick workout of pull-ups, push-ups and squat thrusts. I had to force myself not to do any more exercise today, as the workout felt even easier and faster today than it did yesterday.
How to create your own workout schedule
When creating your workout schedule, I would recommend a minimum of 2 days strength, 2 days functional endurance, 1 running day & rest when needed. You can always add more work or rest days if you need to. Each day also doesn’t have to be dedicated to one purpose.

The other day I did my Australian pull-ups on a ledge and also did some pull-ups and a half pull-up static hold. I did more sets and reps than I normally do. Well I guess my forearms weren’t used to that because pretty soon they were sore and weak. Sore I could accept, but the weak part caught me by surprise.

I decided to go ahead and take another rest day and get ready for the new week. I plan on doing just 3 exercises every day from Monday to Friday.

This morning was a beautiful 70 degrees out. The sun was just starting to peek out from behind the clouds when I headed out to the park bright and early. Let me tell you, this mornings workout was short, but when I was done I felt exhausted. I had to get some food in me quick.
