Since I haven’t been able to get my deadlift workout in, I needed to do them. I also decided to do barbell clean & presses.
Rest day 7-19-2012
Today I had quite a bit of soreness. I guess I over did it with the swim yesterday. I wanted to do dead-lifts today, but since my hamstrings are sore from the combat swimmer stroke scissor kicks, I didn’t. So instead I decided to take today as a complete rest day and save the dead-lifts for tomorrow.

3 alternatives to running sprints
While running fast and sprinting are great forms of exercise, sometimes they can get a bit boring. Unfortunately if you’re alone you can’t really play any games by yourself. But, if you have a training partner you can make sprints more fun.
Swim Wednesday 7-18-2012
I had wanted to make it out to the pool yesterday, but didn’t wake up in time to drive down for adult swim. Today I went out to the state park pool, paid my $2 to get in, and swam for about an hour and a half. I did the combat side stroke and messed around with the freestyle stroke. I’m still having issues get the timing and body rotation down when breathing.
Pineapple Dream Smoothie
I just made a smoothie that I thought everyone might like. I don’t have a lot of ingredients in my fridge, since it’s almost shopping day. I’m trying to hold out though. I want to empty my fridge before shopping again.
Workout Tuesday 7-17-2012
Today’s workout of the day was a blend of a few things, plus a long walk. It was hot so I really felt that walk, but the day was still beautiful. This workout takes around 15 minutes, not counting the walk.
Warrior workout Monday 7-16-2012
Since I did push-ups and pull-ups yesterday I figured I would give that a break today. Instead I opted to do the warrior style workout again. I enjoyed this workout again today and was covered in sweat when I finished it. I also added 2 quick sandbag movements to finish it off.
Warrior Workout Sunday 7-15-2012
Today’s workout was simple, but I found it to be fun. I based it on doing warrior type movements. The time flew by and when I was done, I was covered in sweat. I will probably end up doing this more during the week, minus the push-ups and pull-ups.
Rest Saturday 7-14-2012
Today my body felt really tired, so I decided to take the day off and rest up. I find it hard to rest though, as I still wanted to work out. But, I decided to listen to my body and not over work it. What do you do on your rest days?

KettleBell Friday 7-13-2012
Every now and then I will throw in a kettlebell workout to keep me from getting bored. I forgot how much I enjoy kettlebells. I did this KB workout with my 20# KB.
