Today my shoulders didn’t feel that strong so I used a 20 lb. kettle bell to do C&P and then did my dead lifts. I was able to up my weight by 2 lbs. and not feel that it was too heavy. It’s funny. I remember when I was in my 20’s 81 lbs. didn’t feel this heavy.

Active rest Tuesday 7-10-2012
This Active rest / Interval workout gives me a whole body workout while allowing me to recover from the previous day since it’s all bodyweight stuff. If I feel particulary week or sore in an area, I can reduce the angle or range of motion (R.O.M) on the exercises. One circuit will take you 3 minutes. Therefore, this workout will take you about 11-12 minutes. This workout is great to do with an interval timer.
Swim Monday 7-9-2012
Today started off cloudy so I got ready to get to the pool. I’ve found that on cloudy days there are less people and kids at the public pools. Of course, as I was getting ready the sun started to come out.
Sunday 7-9-2012
Today was a light day. I wanted to rest up because I want to hit the pool tomorrow and get some laps in. I only did partial reps and a 1 arm hang on theĀ pull up bar. I’m working a lot on pulling strength because that seems to be a weak link for me.
Swim Saturday 7-7-2012
Headed out early to pickup my friend and we headed to the pool. We arrived at 9am and it wasn’t that crowded, but by 10am it was filling up quick.

Since I paln on going to the pool tomorrow, I didn’t want to over do it. I kept it light so that I could enjoy the water. Saturday is suppossed to be 99 degrees.

After yesterdays pushups I made today a walking/ light cardio day. I walked 3 miles in 95 degree weather again. I’m really starting to adapt to the heat. I didn’t even need to take a drink of water. Of course when I was done I drank. I then did some light cardio consisting of:

Today I did some sporadic exercises throughout the day. I felt my shoulders needed some rest today so I took it easy. I walked 3 miles in 95 degree weather. Holy crap was it hot. I would’ve kept walking, but the heat and sweat was just too annoying.
Workout Tuesday 7-3-2012
As I’ve been keeping track of my workouts on this blog I’ve come to a realization. I’m not really working out as much as I thought I was. I still believe in FSE and don’t personally like or believe in long cardio. If a workout takes longer than 20 minutes I get bored, too tired and then want to eat the entire fridge. It’s like the hunger can’t be satisfied. So I keep it short and workout more frequently. I’m going to try and do more sporadic exercises throughout the day from now on.

Today I went ahead and did deadlifts and clean & presses. It was early in the week though and I didn’t feel that strong. Normally I wait a full week before doing these again, and I did them last Thursday. Either way, my workout was the same.
